Reprint / Lost PAN Card: Complete Guide
A Permanent Account Number (PAN) card is an essential identification document issued by the Income Tax Department of India. It is mandatory for various financial and tax-related purposes such as filing income tax returns, opening a bank account, applying for loans, and carrying out high-value transactions.
But sometimes, PAN cards can be lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced. In such cases, there is no need to panic. You do not need to apply for a new PAN again; instead, you can request a Reprint or Duplicate PAN Card. Both NSDL (Protean eGov Technologies Ltd.) and UTIITSL provide convenient online services to reissue or reprint your existing PAN.
This guide will explain how to request a duplicate PAN card, the required documents, fees & charges, and other important notices.
